Israeli colonists attack civilian vehicles east of Qalqilya

QALQILYA, January 12, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists attacked Palestinian civilian vehicles on Sunday evening east of Qalqilya, the occupied West Bank, local sources reported.

The attack occurred on the main Qalqilya-Nablus road near the entrance to the village of Al-Funduq. According to witnesses, colonists, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, threw stones at passing vehicles, shattering the windows of several cars. No injuries were reported.

The Palestinian Authority's Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission has revealed that Israeli colonists carried out over 2,971 attacks against Palestinians and their property during the past year. These assaults resulted in the killing of 10 Palestinians.

Such incidents are part of a broader pattern of violence and intimidation faced by Palestinians in the occupied West Bank. These attacks, often carried out by Israeli colonists living in settlements considered illegal under international law, aim to exert pressure on Palestinian communities, restrict their freedom of movement, and force them off their land.
