RAMALLAH, January 12, 2025 (WAFA) - The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has issued a stern warning regarding Israel's "time-buying" strategy and its consequences for the continued ethnic cleansing and displacement of the Palestinian people. 

The Ministry emphasized that this strategy is aimed at altering the political, legal, and historical realities in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, to serve Israel's colonial and racist expansionist goals.

In a statement released on Sunday, the Ministry condemned the Israeli government's ongoing efforts to undermine Palestinian rights and the international community's decisions and legal frameworks. 

It said the Israeli authorities are using tactics to continue their campaign of genocide, displacement, and annexation. The Ministry also denounced Israel's focus on military and security solutions, which jeopardize the lives and existence of Palestinians on their land, while dismissing any political solutions based on international peace efforts and law.

The Ministry called on the international community to move beyond conventional approaches to the Palestinian people's rights, urging bold legal and ethical action to compel Israel, as an occupying power, to immediately cease its genocidal actions. 

It also called for the implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2735 and the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice, demanding binding international arrangements to ensure the protection of Palestinian rights and sovereignty.
