Four Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza, including two women and a child

GAZA, January 10, 2024 (WAFA) – Four Palestinians were killed in today in Gaza as the Israeli genocide campaign enters its sixteenth month, with three of them succumbing to injuries sustained in previous Israeli airstrikes.

The Palestinian Civil Defense teams reported that they retrieved the body of one victim and two others injured after Israeli forces targeted civilians near Al-Shafii Mosque, located near the Tayba Towers in the west of Khan Younis, southern Gaza.

In a separate incident, a woman succumbed to her wounds after she was injured in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a residential apartment near Al-Amal Hospital, west of Khan Younis. A young man also succumbed to wounds inflicted by an Israeli attack on the al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis.

In another tragic development, a woman died of her wounds several days after she had been critically injured in an Israeli airstrike that hit a displaced family's tent in Khan Younis. She joins her three children who were previously killed in the same attack.

Additionally, a young man died from injuries caused earlier by an Israeli bombing east of Rafah, southern Gaza.

Meantime, a child, Abdulrahman Nabhan, also lost his life following a fatal incident at the Al-Mufti School shelter in the Nusairat refugee camp, central Gaza.

The child was fatally injured during a food distribution, falling into a boiling pot and suffering third-degree burns. He had been previously wounded four days earlier when the same shelter was targeted by Israeli airstrikes.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 46,006 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 109,378 others injured.

Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.

Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
