Colonists set fire to Palestinian vehicle east of Qalqilya

QALQILYA, January 6, 2024 (WAFA) -  Extremist colonists set fire on Monday night to a vehicle in the village of Hajjah and attacked the village of Fara'ata, east of Qalqilya, according to local sources.

Sources told WAFA that colonists attacked the eastern part of the village of Hajjah and burned a vehicle belonging to a local Palestinian resident.

The sources also reported that colonists attacked the village of Fara’ata as well.

In this context, colonists, under the protection of the Israeli occupation army, gathered at the traffic light intersection near the village of al-Funduq, east of Qalqilya, and along the road leading to the villages of Jinsafut, Immatain and Fara’ata.

Since the morning, the Qalqilya Governorate has been witnessing increased Israeli military measures, including the setting up of military checkpoints, road closures, incursions, raids by occupation forces and attacks by colonists.

Israeli media outlets reported the killing of three Israelis, one of whom was an Israeli police officer, and the injury of six others in a shooting attack targeting a bus and colonists’ vehicles near the village of al-Funduq.
