Israeli forces notify family of Palestinian prisoner of home demolition in Tulkarm

TULKARM, December 26, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces have informed the family of Palestinian detainee Muhammad Talal Abu Yassin that their home in the town of Bal'a, east of Tulkarm, will be demolished, according to local sources.

The Abu Yassin family reported that Israeli soldiers posted a demolition order on the wall of their two-story house and attached storage space, which is located in the western neighborhood of the town.

This is the second demolition notice issued to the family in the past month. The first notice had given the family 72 hours to file an objection, prompting them to evacuate the house in anticipation of the Israeli authorities carrying out the demolition at any time.

Muhammad Abu Yassin has been in Israeli custody since January of this year.

Israeli occupation authorities have long used to punitively demolish the homes of Palestinians accused of carrying out attacks on Israelis, a policy that Israel does not apply to Israeli settlers who are involved in fatal attacks against Palestinians.
