GAZA, December 22, 2024 (WAFA) — The Israeli occupation military's ongoing assault on Gaza, now entering its 443rd day, has left dozens of civilians killed or injured, including women and children, since the early hours of Sunday, according to local and medical sources.
Reports from Gaza indicate that at least eight people were killed and several others injured when Israeli airstrikes hit the Musa Bin Nusayr School in the al-Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City, which was sheltering displaced families.
Meantime, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, three people were killed in an Israeli airstrike on the city of Rafah.
Simultaneously, a couple lost their lives in an Israeli attack on their apartment building near Bilal Mosque in the western area of Khan Yunis.
In central Gaza, the death toll from an overnight Israeli bombing of the Abu Samra family home in eastern Deir al-Balah has risen to 11, with additional injuries reported.
Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces have continued demolishing residential buildings in the northern area of the Nuseirat refugee camp, located in central Gaza, while shelling remains heavy throughout the region.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 45,227 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 107,573 others injured.
Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.
Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
