SALFIT, December 7, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists Saturday vandalized an olive grove and a water well in the Yasuf village, east of the occupied West Bank city of Salfit, according to a local official.
Wael Abu Madi, head of Yasuf Village Council, said that colonists chopped down 15 olive trees at the Hariqat ash-Shaer, northeast of the village, as well as a water well at the Hariqat ar-Razeq locality, east of the village.
According to the statistics of the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, Israeli colonists carried out 310 attacks against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank in November 2024.
Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.
Over 700,000 Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
