JORDAN VALLEY, December, 5, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists installed barbed wires around residents' homes in Ein el-Hilweh in the northern Jordan Valley, in preparation for seizing the properties.
The head of the village council in al-Maleh, Mahdi Daraghmeh, reported that about 30 colonists placed signs and a barbed wire fence near citizens' homes in Ein el-Hilweh, as part of a policy of seizing more land in the northern Jordan Valley.
He added that 12 families in the area are now threatened with forced displacement due to the increasing attacks by colonists in the area.
Daraghmeh warned against separating Palestinian communities in the northern Jordan Valley from each other, especially since the colonists have recently begun to fence off the west of the colonial street called Street 60.
Local residents in the eastern part suffer from challenges and violations carried out by the occupation, including demolishing residential facilities and livestock pens, issuing demolition and construction cessation notices,
It is noteworthy that the occupation army along with colonists, after October 7 of last year, carried out a total of 16,663 attacks, which affected citizens' lands, and properties.
