Colonists uproot trees near Salfit

SALFIT, November 27, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists Wednesday cut down about 100 olive trees from Palestinian citizens' lands in the village of Yasuf, east of Salfit.

The head of the village council in Yasuf, Wael Abu Madi, told WAFA that a group of colonists broke about 100 olive trees, ranging in age from 70 to 80 years, and part of them were olive trees that were about 10 years old, in Al-Mashrafah area north of the village, and are owned by local residents Mahmoud Raja Abdel Fattah, Tariq Mutab Abdel Fattah, and Anwar Zahri Ayoub.

It is noteworthy that the village of Yasuf has been exposed recently, especially during the olive picking season, to daily violations represented in the theft of olives and picking equipment, and attempts to assault and beat farmers.
