HEBRON, November 16, 2024 (WAFA) – A 13-year-old Palestinian boy was brutally assaulted by a group of Israeli colonists today in the Tel Rmeida neighborhood in the center of Hebron, south of the occupied West Bank.
Yasser Abu Markhiya, a local activist, reported that the attack occurred when Mohammad Rajab Abu Markhiya was on his way to visit his grandmother. The colonists beat the boy severely, leaving him with multiple bruises. He was immediately taken to the Hebron Governmental Hospital for treatment.
The Tel Rmeida area has long been a site of frequent Israeli attacks, with residents frequently subjected to violence by Israeli colonists, particularly those from the illegal Ramat Yishai outpost.
In addition to these assaults, Palestinians in the area endure ongoing military occupation measures, including severe restrictions on movement, house raids, and the closure of key streets.
