Foreign Ministry: Ending Israeli genocide and granting Palestine full sovereignty over Gaza are key to implementing two-state solution

RAMALLAH, November 13, 2024 (WAFA) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates emphasized that the immediate halt of Israel’s genocide and displacement, the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip and granting the State of Palestine and its institutions full sovereignty over Gaza are key to implementing the two-state solution. This, the ministry stated, is also the ultimate test of the credibility of countries that profess support for a two-state solution.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the ministry reiterated that despite calls from the U.S. and the international community for the sustainable delivery of aid, the Israeli government continues to commit serious violations of international law.

The ministry stressed its deep concern over the escalating crimes of the occupation, including ongoing mass killings and the relentless policy of starvation targeting the population of the Gaza Strip, especially in the north, affecting children, women, the sick and the elderly.

These actions have reached abhorrent levels that disgrace humanity and defy reason, serving as a direct affront by Israel to human conscience, international legitimacy and the rulings of international courts, said the ministry.
