GAZA, October 27, 2024 (WAFA) The death toll from the horrific Israeli airstrike last night which targeted a residential block in Beit Lahiya, northern Gaza, has risen to 40, including children and women, medical sources announced this morning.

Additionally, around 80 others have sustained injuries in the attack, which targeted a block of at least five homes near the western roundabout in Beit Lahiya. The homes belonged to the Abu Shdaq, Al-Masri, and Salman families.

Local health authorities pointed out that the total number of Palestinian fatalities reported since the beginning of the wide-scale Israeli offensive in northern Gaza earlier this month has now approached 1,000.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 42,847 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 100,544 others injured.

Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.

Israel's genocidal onslaught continues undeterred despite calls from the United Nations Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
