HEBRON, October 24, 2024 (WAFA) - A group of armed colonists Thursday prevented residents from picking olive crops in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.

Activist Osama Makhamreh told WAFA correspondent that dozens of armed colonists from Avigal colony prevented farmers from the Jabareen family and foreign volunteers from picking olive crops in Ma'in Valley area in Masafer Yatta, and forced them at gunpoint to leave the area.

He pointed out that there has been a significant increase in the frequency of these attacks these days, with the aim of preventing farmers from reaching their fields and preventing them from collecting olive crops, in order to limit their ability to withstand.

Residents suffer greatly from these repeated attacks, which are often accompanied by injuries among residents and foreign activists, as was the case last week when a female activist was injured as a result of being beaten with sticks by a group of colonists in the village of Susya.
