GAZA, Sunday, August 25, 2024 (WAFA) – Palestinian civilians were killed and injured on Sunday in an Israeli bombing of various areas of the Gaza Strip, mainly on Gaza City and the southern part of the Strip.
Local sources reported that the occupation's warplanes targeted a group of people in front of a vehicle repair shop on the Red Cross Street in Sheikh Nasr neighborhood in the center of Khan Yunis city in the southern part of the Strip, which led to the killing of two citizens and the injury of others.
They added that two citizens were killed as a result of the occupation's bombing of Al-Biouk neighborhood in the center of Khan Yunis, in conjunction with the occupation's artillery shelling of the eastern line area.
Four citizens were killed and others were injured as a result of the occupation's bombing of a car in Mirage area north of Rafah city.
A person was killed and others were injured as a result of the occupation's warplanes bombing Al-Hakr area in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.
In Gaza City, two citizens were killed and others were injured as a result of the bombing of a house on Al-Sikka Street in Al-Zeitoun neighborhood east of Gaza City.
Eyewitnesses explained that the Israeli warplanes bombed a residential apartment for the Al-Saloul family in the vicinity of the Al-Oyoun intersection in the Al-Nasr area north of Gaza City, which led to the martyrdom of 4 citizens and the injury of others.
Medical sources reported that at least 28 people were killed and dozens were injured, as a result of the occupation's bombing of various areas in the Gaza Strip since dawn today.
Local health authorities confirmed that the Palestinian death toll from the Israeli onslaught since October 7 has risen to 40,405 reported fatalities, with an additional 93,468 individuals sustaining injuries. The majority of the victims are women and children.
According to the same sources, emergency services are still unable to reach many casualties and dead bodies trapped under the rubble or scattered on roads across the war-torn enclave, as Israeli occupation forces continue to obstruct the movement of ambulance and civil defense crews.
