HEBRON, Saturday, August 24, 2024 (WSFA) – Several Palestinians Saturday evening sustained injuries in a colonists’ attack in the Susya village, south of the occupied West Bank village of Hebron, according to WAFA correspondent.
He said that a group of heavily armed colonists mounted an attack on the village, beating the villagers with batons and inflicting cuts and bruises across the bodies of several of them.
Among the casualties were a 62-year-old woman who sustained an injury from a stone that hit her head and a 52-year-old woman who was severely beaten on the head and all over her body.
Colonist violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli occupation authorities.
Colonist violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.
Over 700,000 Israeli colonists are living in colonies across occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank in violation of international law.
