RAMALLAH, Tuesday, August 13, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces since yesterday evening until Tuesday morning have detained at least 20 Palestinians from the West Bank, including a child and former detainees.
The Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners' Society (PPS) said that that the detentions took place across most of the West Bank governorates, accompanied by attacks against detainees and their families in addition to widespread acts of vandalism and destruction in citizens' homes.
It is noteworthy that the Israeli occupation authorities at dawn today blew up the homes of detainees Ayser Barghouti and Khaled Kharouf, as part of the occupation authorities' escalation of the crime of collective punishment, which has been and continues to be the most prominent tools and punitive measures adopted by the occupation authorities over many decades, and has escalated since the beginning of the war of extermination.
It is noteworthy that the Israeli occupation forces have arrested more than 10,000 Palestinians from the West Bank, including Jerusalem, since the beginning of the ongoing war of extermination and comprehensive aggression against Palestinian people.
