GAZA, Saturday, August 10, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli bombardment targeting a house Saturday evening killed two Palestinians and injured others to the west of Rafah in the southern war-torn Gaza Strip, according to eyewitnesses.
They said that Israeli occupation forces bombed a house close to the al-Ferdaus school, west of the city, resulting in the killing of two civilians and injuring others.
In dawn hours of today, at least 100 Palestinian civilians, including women and children, were killed after the occupation forces targeted a school in Gaza City whilst displaced people performed morning prayers.
Video footage showed charred bodies and limbs strewn across a concrete floor, as people scrambled to find their loved ones following the attacks.
Another video appeared to show dozens of bodies covered in cloth and laid out in a courtyard.
Israel has proceeded with its genocidal offensive on the war-torn Strip in complete disregard of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which ordered Israel in a legally binding decision to halt its military offensive in Rafah, which may violate its obligations under the Genocide Convention.
Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza since October 7, killing at least 39,790 Palestinians, mostly children and women, and injuring over 91,702 others.
Moreover, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.
Palestinian and international organizations say that the majority of those killed and wounded are women and children.
The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
