HEBRON, Thursday, August 1, 2024 (WAFA) – Armed Israeli colonists, under the protection of Israeli forces, blocked a road this evening leading to a forcibly evacuated area in the Masafer Yatta region, south of Hebron.

Local sources reported that the colonists installed an iron gate on the road leading to the abandoned village of Khirbet Samra and closed it off, preventing residents from accessing this area and the eastern part of the adjacent Shaab al-Batm village. This move appears to be part of an ongoing effort to seize land for colonial expansion.

Last year, residents of Khirbet Samra were forcibly displaced due to continuous attacks by Israeli forces and colonists, which posed a severe threat to their lives and property.
