Israeli colonist opens fire on Palestinians near Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, Thursday, August 1, 2024 (WAFA) – An Israeli colonist opened fire on Palestinians this evening in the village of Wad Fukin, located west of Bethlehem, according to local sources. No injuries were reported.

The incident occurred after the colonist reportedly stormed the village and targeted a local grocery store.

According to Ibrahim Haroub, head of the Wad Fukin Village Council, the assailant first entered the village and went to a grocery store where he tore up a photograph of a martyr and then stomped on it.

In response, several young men from the village attempted to confront the colonist. The latter then fired live ammunition at them. However, there were no injuries reported.
