Israeli forces detain 20 Palestinians from the West Bank

RAMALLAH, Tuesday, July 16, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces yesterday evening through Tuesday detained at least 20 Palestinians from the West Bank, including a wounded civilian, and former prisoners.

The Palestinian Prisoner's Society and the Detainees' and Ex-Detainees' Affairs Commission said in a joint statement that the detention operations took place across the governorates of Hebron, Nablus, Ramallah, Bethlehem, and Tulkarm, as the occupation forces continue to carry out attacks and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to widespread sabotage and destruction operations in citizens' homes.

The statement indicated that the total number of detentions after October 7 amounted to more than 9,690, including those who were arrested from homes, through military checkpoints, those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage.
