WEST BANK, Tuesday, July 16, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces raided money exchange shops in the occupied West Bank on Tuesday mornign.
Security sources reported to WAFA that the occupation forces stormed the street leading to Hisham Palace in the city of Jericho, and raided money exchange shops, including “Al-Khaleej” and “Al-Muhit” stores.
They also threw papers including threats that said, “Money laundering for the benefit of terrorist organizations is terrorism.”
The sources added that a number of occupation forces' vehicles chased a number of young men in the city center but no detentions were reported.
Meanwhile in Bethlehem, an occupation army force stormed the city and was stationed on Al-Quds-Hebron Street near Al-Radi Junction, raided an exchange shop, and seized all its contents, security sources confirmed.
The sources added that the occupation forces raided the home of the family of local resident Alaa Abayat, 24, in the village of Al-Manshiya, southeast of Bethlehem, and detained her and subjected her to a field investigation. She is the branch manager of the exchange shop that they raided.
The woman was taken to the exchange shop where she worked before she was released after the shop was raided and its contents were seized, according to the sources.
