RAMALLAH, Tuesday, July 9, 2024 (WAFA) - Israeli occupation forces detained at least 16 Palestinians, including children and former detainees, from several West Bank areas.

The Detainees' and Ex-Detainees' Affairs Commission and the Palestinian Prisoner's Society said that the detention operations took place across the cities of Ramallah, Qalqilya, Hebron, Nablus, Bethlehem, and Jericho, accompanied by attacks and threats against detainees and their families and widespread sabotage and destruction of citizens' homes.

It is noteworthy that the total number of detentions after October 7 reached about 9,600, including those who were arrested from homes, through military checkpoints, those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage.

The occupation forces continue to carry out arrest campaigns in the West Bank, accompanied by systematic abuse and torture against detainees and their families in an unprecedented manner.

To be noted, the occupation forces did not exclude the sick, the wounded, and the elderly during the detention campaigns.
