HEBRON, Tuesday, July 9, 2024 (WAFA) - Israeli occupation forces Tuesday detained a Palestinian youth and a child from the town of Beit Ummar, seized a lathe in the town of Al-Samou, and wrote signs on the doors of a number of shops in the Old City of Hebron.
Media activist in the town of Beit Ummar, Mohammad Awad, told WAFA that the occupation forces raided the neighborhoods of Shaab Al-Sir and Asida in the center of Beit Ummar, as the Israeli soldiers broke into several houses, destroyed their doors, tiles and contents, detained their owners inside individual rooms, beat them, and detain former prisoner Aktham Youssef Hassan Akhil, 35, after he was severely beaten.
The occupation forces also detained Raad Awad Hassan Awad, 14.
Confrontations took place with the occupation forces, during which the soldiers fired live bullets and stun grenades and gas bombs, causing dozens of citizens to suffer from suffocation.
Security and local sources reported to WAFA that forces wrote black signs on the doors of a number of shops in the Old City in the center of Hebron, and seized a lathe owned by local reisdent Musab Omar Al-Daghameen, in the town of Al-Samou', south of Hebron.
Moreover, the occupation forces also demolished an agricultural room belonging to local resident Zaher Suleiman Ghunaimat in the town of Surif, northwest of Hebron.
