SALFIT, Monday, July 8, 2024 (WAFA) - Israeli colonists last night bulldozed and destroyed the northern entrance to the city of Salfit, after closing the iron gate for several hours.

Eyewitnesses told WAFA that the colonists from the Ariel colony, which was forcefully established on citizens' lands, were accompanied by a bulldozer when they closed the iron gate leading to the main entrance to Saflite, sabotaged the road infrastructure, dug it, and placed cement cubes, with the aim of obstructing the movement of citizens and preventing them from entering or exiting from the city.

They added that the iron gate was later reopened, but the road infrastructure remained largely destroyed, making it difficult for vehicles to pass.

It is noteworthy that the colonists have closed the gate and destroyed the infrastructure several times over the past few days.

The northern entrance to the city of Salfit is considered the main road that connects the city to the rest of the villages and towns of the governorate and the rest of the West Bank's cities.
