Colonists burn shack and olive trees southwest of Jenin

JENIN, Sunday, July 7, 2024 (WAFA) – This morning, Israeli colonists set fire to an agricultural shack and olive trees in Dhahr Al-Abed village, west of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

The head of Dhahr Al-Abed village council, Tareq Amarna, told WAFA that colonists from a nearby colonial outpost east of the village attacked the eastern area of the village and burned an agricultural shack belonging to Nidal Amarna, a local resident. The fire also reached some olive trees in the area.

He added that the colonists, under the protection of the Israeli army, threatened farmers with seizing hundreds of dunums of land in the eastern area of Dhahr Al-Abed village. They marked the lands in preparation for seizure, affirming that all lands are owned by the villagers and have registration documents proving their ownership.

Amarna pointed out that colonists continuously engage in sabotage activities on agricultural lands belonging to citizens, aiming to seize them for colonial expansion purposes.
