GAZA, Sunday, July 7, 2024 (WAFA) - Last night and into the early hours of this morning, Israeli occupation forces launched a barrage of rockets, artillery, and gunfire across various areas in the Gaza Strip. The attacks resulted in multiple casualties and injuries among civilians.
Our correspondent reported that rescue teams recovered the dead bodies of three individuals and several others wounded after an Israeli airstrike targeted the Abu Hasira family home in the Al-Mina area west of Gaza City.
Search operations are ongoing for those still missing under the rubble, with the casualties and injured later transferred to the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital.
Additionally, six civilians were killed when Israeli aircraft targeted a house in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood north of Gaza City. They were also subsequently taken to Al-Ahli Arab Hospital.
Meantime, Israeli airstrikes hit the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, coinciding with artillery shelling on the neighboring Bureij and Maghazi refugee camps. Four civilians were injured as a result of the shelling of the Rady family home in Nuseirat, and they were transported to the Al-Awda Hospital in the camp.
Furthermore, six civilians, including two children, were killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting the Jawadah family home in the town of Zawaida in central Gaza. The casualties were taken to the Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah.
Simultaneously, three civilians were injured due to Israeli forces targeting the Post and Interior Ministry buildings in Khan Younis, south of Gaza City. They were transferred to the Nasser Hospital in the city for medical attention.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has so far resulted in the documented killing of 38,098 Palestinians and injuries to 87,705 others. Thousands remain trapped under rubble and in the streets, inaccessible to ambulance and civil defense crews.
