GAZA, Tuesday, July 2 2024 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation forces detained at least 22 Palestinians from the occupied West Bank, including children and former prisoners, according to the Detainees and Ex-Detainees Commission and the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS).
In a joint statement, the two organizations said that the detention operations took place in Bethlehem governorate, while the rest were distributed among the governorates of Ramallah, Jenin, Hebron, Nablus, Tubas, and Jerusalem.
They clarified that this figure includes those detained from their homes, at military checkpoints, those who surrendered under pressure, and those taken as hostages.
Israeli occupation forces detained more than 9, 465 Palestinians from the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, since the start of the ongoing Israeli onslaught on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023.
Israeli occupation forces continue their campaign of arrests through raids, extensive harassment, brutal beatings, threats against detainees and their families, alongside widespread acts of sabotage and destruction of civilian homes, the statement added.
