Israeli occupation forces close Beit Iksa checkpoint, disrupting movement of Palestinians

JERUSALEM, Saturday, June 29, 2024 (WAFA) - Early this morning, Israeli occupation forces closed the Beit Iksa military checkpoint, located northwest of occupied Jerusalem, severely impacting the movement of Palestinian citizens in the area.

Witnesses reported that the closure prevented high school students from leaving the village to take their final exams, resulting in the confinement of the students in addition to hundreds attempting to enter or exit the village.

Beit Iksa, located northwest of occupied Jerusalem, has been surrounded by Israel's separation wall, effectively isolating it from the rest of the West Bank.

The Israeli occupation authorities have also appropriated much of its land and established the Ramot colonial settlement there.
