Colonist opens fire towards Palestinian houses in southern West Bank camp

HEBRON, Wednesday, June 26, 2024 (WAFA) – An Israeli colonist today opened fire towards Palestinian houses in al-Arrub refugee camp, north of the occupied West Bank city of Hebron, according to WAFA correspondent.

He said that an armed colonist got out of his vehicle on the colonist-only bypass road, adjacent to the refugee camp, and opened fire towards civilians’ houses. However, there were no casualties.

Colonist violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli occupation authorities.

Colonist violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Over 700,000 Israeli colonists are living in colonies across occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank in violation of international law.
