JERICHO, Sunday, June 23, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli authorities handed notifications today for the impending demolition of two homes southwest of Jericho city in the occupied West Bank, according to Palestinian security sources.
The affected citizens, Abdullah Najoom and Mohammed Eid Najoom, were notified to evacuate their homes ahead of the demolition orders, under the pretext that the homes are built in an area classified as Area C, under full Israeli control.
This follows earlier demolitions by Israeli occupation forces carried out this morning on three houses in the al-Duyuk village, northwest of Jericho.
According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority, Israeli forces have conducted a total of 47 demolition operations in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, during the past month of May.
These operations targeted 66 structures, comprising 35 inhabited homes, 5 uninhabited structures, and 15 agricultural facilities among others.
