JERICHO, Sunday, June 23, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces demolished three residential homes this morning in the village of al-Duyuk, northwest of Jericho city in the eastern occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

Witnesses reported to WAFA that Israeli bulldozers razed the home of local residents Ma'an Tanous and Faisal Abu al-Saud in the village, despite both landlords possessing official construction permits and a Jordanian land ownership document.

Al-Duyuk has been subjected to continuous attacks by Israeli forces as part of a policy aimed at forced displacement of Palestinians to facilitate settlement expansion.

Violations by Israeli authorities in the village include home demolitions and land seizures in an attempt to exert control over the area and separate it from its geographic surroundings, including the city of Jericho and the village of Nuweima.

According to the Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Israeli authorities carried out 47 demolition operations in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, during the past month of May.

These demolitions targeted 66 structures, including 35 inhabited homes, 5 uninhabited structures, and 15 agricultural buildings and others.
