GAZA, Saturday, June 22, 2024 (WAFA) — A number of innocent civilians, predominantly women and children, were killed and several others injured this afternoon following a barrage of Israeli airstrikes targeting various areas of the Gaza Strip.

WAFA correspondent reported that occupation warplanes targeted four residential apartments in the center of the Al-Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza City. This attack resulted in the murder of civilians and injuries to others.

In another attack, Israeli artillery shelled the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, leading to the murder of two young men who were subsequently transported to the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital.

Simultaneously, Israeli fighter jets launched several air raids on the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City. These airstrikes resulted in numerous casualties and various injuries among the local residents.

In central Gaza, a citizen was killed, and another was injured in an Israeli artillery shelling near the power station north of Nuseirat refugee camp.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 7th of last year has so far resulted in 37,551 documented Palestinian casualties, with 85,911 injured, the majority of whom are children and women.

Many victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, with rescue and medical teams unable to reach them.
