GAZA, Thursday, June 20, 2024 (WAFA) – An Israeli airstrike on Zaytoun neighborhood in the city of Gaza Thursday evening killed eight Palestinians and injured others, according to WAFA correspondent.

He said that Israeli warplanes targeted a house in the neighborhood, killing eight people and injuring others.

The fatalities and casualties were rushed to al-Ahli Arab Hospital, known as al-Ma‘madani, in the city.

This came as Israeli fighter jets targeted the vicinity of ash-Shifa Medical Complex, west of Gaza, resulting in a number of casualties.

Fighter jets also targeted a plot of land, southeast of Deir al-Balah in the central Strip, as Israeli artillery shelled the eastern areas of the city.

Meanwhile, emergency and rescue teams retrieved the bodies of three children and their mother, all members of al-Ra‘i family, from under the rubble of their house two days after it was targeted in the Nuseirat refugee camp.

Tried before the International Court of Justice for genocide against Palestinians, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza since October 7, killing at least 37,431 Palestinians and injuring over 85,653 others.

Moreover, approximately 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.

Palestinian and international organizations say that the majority of those killed and wounded are women and children.

The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
