RAMALLAH, Sunday, June 16, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists today torched Palestinian land in the village of Burqa and attacked Palestinian vehicles near the village, east of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to security sources.
They said that colonists descended upon Bir al-Marj agricultural area in the village and set it on fire.
They added that the assailants attacked Palestinian vehicles travelling along the bypass road leading to the northern entrance of al-Bireh city, hurling stones towards them.
Colonist violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli occupation authorities.
Colonist violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.
Over 700,000 Israeli colonists are living in colonies across occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank in violation of international law.
