GAZA, Sunday, June 16, 2024 (WAFA) — Hundreds of people in Gaza performed Eid al-Adha prayers this morning amidst the rubble of destroyed homes and buildings, in a somber atmosphere marked by the ongoing Israeli aggression and the absence of traditional holiday joy.

WAFA correspondent reported that hundreds of worshipers performed Eid prayers in various areas of Gaza, on top of rubble, in the remains of mosques, and in open areas, bringing their children along.

The usual festive spirit of Eid was notably absent due to the relentless Israeli aggression that has continued for nine months.

Eid prayer leaders emphasized the importance of visiting the families of martyrs, the injured, and the imprisoned, as well as maintaining family ties. They stressed the need to bring joy to the orphans of the martyrs, as well as the children of the injured and the imprisoned.
