Israeli airstrikes target Gaza and Rafah, causing injuries and destruction

GAZA, Sunday, June 16, 2024 (WAFA) — In the early morning of Eid al-Adha, the Muslim Feast of the Sacrifice, Israeli occupation warplanes launched airstrikes on various areas in Gaza City and Rafah in the war-ridden Gaza Strip.

Local sources reported that several people sustained injuries of varying severity after Israeli fighter jets targeted a house in the Tel al-Sultan neighborhood of Rafah, in the south of the enclave.

In addition, intense Israeli airstrikes hit a house west of the Al-Shuhada Square in Al-Shati refugee camp, located west of Gaza City.

The Israeli military also detonated several residential buildings in the town of Al-Mughraqa in central Gaza.

Israel has been waging a relentless war of genocide on Gaza since October 7th of the last year, resulting so far in at least documented Palestinian 37,266 fatalities, in addition to 85,102 injuries.

Thousands of victims remain missing, either buried under the rubble or scattered on the roads as Israeli occupation forces continue to impose restrictions on the access of emergency medical services to many areas across the region.
