Israeli colonists demolish 10 agricultural structures and shacks  in Bedouin community northwest of Jericho

JERICHO, Wednesday, June 12, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists today demolished agricultural structures and shacks in in the al-Marajat Al-Wusta area, northwest of Jericho.

Hassan Mleihat, the supervisor of the Al-Baidar organization for defending the rights of the Bedouins, said that a group of Israeli colonists demolished ten shacks used for housing and others used for raising livestock in the lands of al-Marajat Al-Wusta, which the colonists began displacing their Bedouin residents since last November in a move aiming to seize their lands for the benefit of colonial expansion.

Al-Marajat area has been witnessing ongoing attacks bt Israeli army and its colonists, involving attacking Bedouin homes, vehicles, and other propitiates in favor of forcing them to leave the area.

Bedouin communities residing in the region east of the occupied West Bank heavily rely on livestock breeding and herding.
