Teenage sustains gunshot injury from Israeli army near Nablus

NABLUS, Tuesday, June 04, 2024 (WAFA) – A Palestinian teenage Tuesday evening sustained a gunshot injury from Israeli army in the Salem village, east of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to local sources.

They said that the occupation forces stormed the village, triggering confrontations, during which the soldiers opened fire towards local youngsters, injuring a 17-year-old by a live round in the thigh.

The casualty, whose name was not disclosed, was rushed to a hospital for treatment.

The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
