Israeli forces detain 22 Palestinians from the West Bank

RAMALLAH, Tuesday, June 4, 2024 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation forces today detained at least 22 Palestinians, including former detainees,  in large-scale arrest campaigns across the occupied West Bank, according to the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS).

They said in a joint statement that the arrests took place across the occupied West Bank governorates of Ramallah, Bethlehem, Nablus, Salfit, Tubas, Jericho, and Jerusalem. The raids were accompanied by widespread raids and abuse and threats against detainees and their families.

The total number of Palestinians detained in the occupied West Bank has risen to over 9,025 since October 7, 2023. This figure includes individuals apprehended from their homes, at military checkpoints, those who surrendered under duress, and those taken hostage.

The Palestinian death toll from the Israeli onslaught since October 7 has as risen to 36,479 reported fatalities, with an additional 82,777 individuals sustaining injuries. The majority of the victims are women and children.
