TULKAREM, Tuesday, June 4, 2024 (WAFA) - Two Palestinians were killed by the occupation forces’ live bullets after midnight on Monday near the Nitzanei Oz checkpoint to the west of Tulkarem, in the northern occupied West Bank, said a security source.
A security source confirmed the killing of two Palestinian men, who were identified as Abdel-Fattah Salahaddin Jabara and Ahmed Mustafa Rajab, both from the Tulkarem refugee camp. The Israeli forces kept hold of the two slain Palestinians’ bodies.
The National Action factions and institutions said that a day of mourning will be observed on Tuesday over the killing of the two Palestinians.
According to sources, the occupation forces opened fire at a vehicle near Nitzanei Oz checkpoint west of the city and prevented ambulances’ access to the area.
WAFA correspondent reported that the occupation forces stormed the western neighborhood of Tulkarem and stationed their troops along the street surrounding a mosque in the area, as snipers were deployed in the area and near the vicinity of Jeshuri chemical factories west of Tulkarem.
Israeli soldiers opened heavy fire targeting every moving object, hitting one of the vehicles passing in the area. Ambulances were banned access to the site.
It was later found that two men were shot and killed inside the vehicle.
