HEBRON, Monday, June 3, 2023 (WAFA - Palestinian residents in Susiya, a small village in the Masafer Yatta region in southern Hebron, fended off an attack carried out against the village tonight by Israeli colonists, according to a local official.
Head of Susiya village council, Jihad al-Nawaja, said colonists removed the barbed-wire fencing surrounding residents’ land in the said village in an attempt to reach and attack the villagers' homes, however, the villagers managed to fend off the attack.
Settlers’ violence against Palestinians and their properties has significantly increased in the area since the onset of Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people on October 7th, 2023.
According to the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, Israeli occupation soldiers and colonists carried out 1,127 attacks in the West Bank during the past month of May.
