HEBRON, Sunday, May 26, 2024 (WAFA) – An elderly Palestinian man, aged 65, was shot and injured tonight at the hands of an Israeli colonist in the West Bank city of Hebron, said local sources.
Sources told WAFA that a colonist opened fire at Ahmed al-Marqatan, 65, while he was present in his privately-owned land in the al-Taybeh area, west of Hebron.
The sources reported that the elderly man sustained injuries in the foot and was transferred to the hospital.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces closed the main entrances to the towns of Sa’ir, Halhul, Idhna and Tarqumiya, as well as the northern entrances to the city of Hebron, impeding the movement of citizens.
