KHAN YUNIS, Sunday, May 26, 2024 (WAFA) — A Palestinian woman was killed and several others were injured today in an Israeli artillery strike on the town of Abasan, located east of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.

Local sources reported that the shelling targeted a gathering of civilians in Abasan, resulting in the killing of the woman and multiple injuries among other residents.  

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 7, 2023 has so far resulted in 35,903 documented fatalities, with an additional 80,420 individuals sustaining injuries. The majority of the victims are women and children.
