GAZA, Wednesday, May 22, 2024 (WAFA) – At least seven Palestinians, including children, were killed, and others were injured in an Israeli drone strike on Gaza City.
Israeli drones launched a missile strike on a group of people who were gathering in front of a gas station in the Gaza city neighborhood of Zaytoun, killing at least seven, including children, and injuring 20 others.
Meanwhile, the occupation warplanes launched airstrikes, targeting central and southern Rafah in the southern war-torn Strip, while the occupation naval boats targeted fishermen’s boats on the shore of Rafah, destroying them.
This came as Israeli artillery shelled several areas in Jabalia al-Balad in the northern Strip.
Tried before the International Court of Justice for genocide against Palestinians, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza since October 7, killing at least 35,709 Palestinians and injuring over 79,990 others.
Moreover, at least 7,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.
Palestinian and international organizations say that the majority of those killed and wounded are women and children.
The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
