, Monday, May 20, 2024 (WAFA) – A Palestinian elderly man today was injured after being brutally attacked and assaulted by Israeli colonists in al-Ma'rajat Road, northwest of Jericho.
The director of Jericho Governmental Hospital, Nasser Anani, said that a group of Israeli colonists severally beat up and sprayed an elderly man with pepper gas, causing him bruises all over his while he was traveling along the Al-Marajat Road.
Local sources said that colonists attacked with stones Palestinian-owned vehicles passing through al-Marajat Road linking the Ramallah and Jericho governorates, causing material damage to some of them.
In a related context, Israeli colonists further seized a truck with a Palestinian license plate, northwest of Al-Auja.
Israeli colonists, protected by the Israeli soldiers, have escalated their attacks against Palestinian and their properties in multiple towns, villages and on roads in the West Bank.
They also attacked trucks transporting goods and humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, at the Tarqumiya military checkpoint in Hebron.
According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, the Israeli occupation forces and colonists carried out 1,242 attacks in the West Bank during the month of April.
