JERUSALEM, Monday, May 20, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation authorities Monday handed Jerusalem Governor Adnan Ghaith a notice renewing the decision to prevent him from entering the West Bank for the sixth year in a row.
The occupation forces summoned Ghaith for investigation at Al-Maskobiyah detention center in occupied Jerusalem.
Local sources said that the occupation forces summoned the PA's Jerusalem governor for investigation in “Room Four” in Al-Maskobiyya detention center in occupied Jerusalem.
Last August, the Israeli occupation authorities renewed decisions issued against Ghaith, prohibiting him from entering the West Bank, participating in any meetings or events, or providing any assistance to the people of Jerusalem.
The Israeli decision also stipulates preventing Governor Ghaith from moving or being present inside the city of East Jerusalem, and includes a road map specifying his itinerary within the neighborhood in which he lives in the town of Silwan, and a decision preventing him from contacting and communicating with 51 Palestinian figures.
The occupation authorities also prevented him from entering the West Bank for three years, as the first decision was issued immediately after he began his work in 2018, and during this period he was subjected to 28 detentions.
