Israeli forces demolish commercial complex in Bethlehem-district town

BETHLEHEM, Thursday, May 9, 2024 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation forces today demolished a commercial complex in the town of Nahalin, west of Bethlehem, according to a local source.

Mohammad Musallam, the complex owner, said the occupation forces tore down the remaining part of his commercial complex, north of the southern West Bank town, a day after he was forced to demolish it.

Musallam self-demolished his complex, which occupied an area of five donums, after being served a demolition notice and asked to pay a bond of 25,000 shekels (approximately $6,750).

The demolished complex comprised four structures, a blacksmith workshop, an aluminum workshop, a restaurant and a soccer field.

Musallam estimated his total losses at over 500,000 shekels (approximately $135,000).
