JENIN, Thursday, May 9, 2024 (WAFA) – A Palestinian youth was Thursday dawn injured and three were detained after the Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Qabatiya and the village of Al Shohdaa (Mothalth Ash Shuhada), south of Jenin.
Local sources said that several Israeli military vehicles stormed the town from its eastern entrance and were stationed near the Jerusalem roundabout on the town's main street, amid violent confrontations with Palestinian youths who confronted the occupation forces' incursion.
They confirmed that the occupation forces stormed several buildings in the town and deployed snipers inside and on their roofs, and fired live bullets at the citizens, injuring one youth by a bullet in the abdomen, after which he was transferred to a hospital in Jenin, noting that the occupation forces fired tear gas bombs.
The sources said that the occupation forces detained three young men after storming their families’ homes, searching them, and tampering with their contents.
They indicated that the occupation forces stormed the village of Al Shohdaa (Mothalth Ash Shuhada), adjacent to Qabatiya, and deployed infantry troops on Jenin-Nablus Street.
