NABLUS, Wednesday, May 8, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation bulldozers Wednesday demolished a Palestinian-owned house in the village of Forush Beit Dajan, east of Nablus.
The head of the Furush Beit Dajan Village Council, Azem Haj Muhammad, said that the occupation forces stormed the village, accompanied by a bulldozer, raided the center of the village and demolished a house owned by local resident Hisham Abu Thabet, noting that the house's area is estimated at about 100 square meters, and has been standing for more than 20 years.
He added that the majority of the houses in the village are at risk of demolition and removal, following the seizure of 11,000 dunums of its land, which had an area of about 14,000 dunums.
The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission indicated that the occupation authorities carried out 28 demolition operations last April, affecting 33 facilities, including eight inhabited homes, three uninhabited homes, five agricultural facilities and others, and took place in the governorates of Jerusalem, Tulkarm, Jericho and Hebron.
They also notified the demolition of 18 homes, and a facility in Ramallah, Al-Bireh, Salfit, and Hebron.
