Palestinian woman injured by shrapnel during ongoing Israeli assault on Tulkarm

TULKARM, Monday, May 6, 2024 (WAFA) – A Palestinian woman was Monday injured by shrapnel from live bullets fired by Israeli forces during the ongoing military assault in Tulkarm camp.

The Red Crescent Society said that its crews dealt with a 28-year-old woman who was injured with shrapnel from live bullets in the hand. She was received by the occupation forces at Netsani Oz military checkpoint west of the city, and she is being transferred to Thabet Thabet Hospital.

The director of ambulance and emergency services in Tulkarm, Raed Yassin, told WAFA correspondent that a woman was injured by shrapnel inside one of the houses that the occupation army seized in the camp.

He added that the occupation prevented ambulance crews from entering the camp and transporting the girl before handing her over to RCS crews at the said checkpoint.

A Palestinian youth was Monday injured by Israeli occupation bullets in Thanaba suburb adjacent to the Tulkarm camp.

The Ministry of Health said that he was seriously injured by live occupation bullets in the head and arrived at Al-Isra Hospital in Tulkarm.

WAFA correspondent said that the occupation sniper fired live bullets directly into the head of a young man in the suburb of Dhanaba.

This comes as the Israeli occupation forces continue the aggression against the city of Tulkarm and its camp, amid acts of destruction of citizens’ property and infrastructure.
